Seeking those of our members with an interest in becoming a Tutor

Are you passionate about sharing your skills and knowledge in safety, leadership, instruction, or coaching? Canoe Wales is looking for dedicated members interested in becoming Tutors (Providers) for various qualifications.

How to Get Involved

We are currently conducting tutor request surveys to gauge interest and understand demand. If you're interested, please visit our website and participate in the survey: Canoe Wales - Become a training provider

These surveys will help us plan and open applications in the New Year.
It is possible to declare your interest and complete the necessary minimum requirements before application.
Minimum requirements are linked on the page- in most cases you need to hold a coaching qualification in the discipline for which you would like to become a Tutor
Please spread the word to any qualified coaches or current providers and ask them to express and interest.

Who Should Apply?

We encourage any qualified coaches or current providers to express their interest. If you know someone who fits this description, please spread the word and invite them to participate.

Requirements

Before applying, you must meet certain minimum requirements. These generally include holding a coaching qualification in the discipline you wish to become a Tutor for. Detailed requirements are linked on our website.

Isla Carmen - Caiacio môr ym Môr Cortez

Mae caiacio môr yn ffordd wych o fwynhau cyfarfyddiadau â bywyd gwyllt, boed yn balod ar Sgomer, morloi oddi ar Ben y Gogarth neu ddolffiniaid ym Mae Aberteifi. Fodd bynnag, mae un creadur arall rydw i bob amser wedi bod eisiau ei weld, ac mae'n annhebygol y bydd yn digwydd ar arfordir Cymru, a dyna forfil. Mae gweld y rhain o gaiac môr yn gofyn am ychydig o gynllunio, o bosibl rhywfaint o deithio dramor a dos da o lwc. Dyna sut y cefais fy hun yn Baja, Mecsico’r llynedd, gyda bag o faw ar fy nec, pothelli ar fy nwylo a rhywfaint o'r bywyd gwyllt gorau rydw i erioed wedi'i weld. O, a gyda Pete. Isla Carmen - Sea kayaking in the Sea of Cortez

Sea kayaking is a great way to enjoy encounters with wildlife, whether it’s puffins on Skomer, seals off the Orme or dolphins in Cardigan Bay. However, there’s one other creature that I’ve always wanted to see, and it’s unlikely it will happen on the Welsh coastline, and that’s a whale. To see these from a sea kayak requires a bit of planning, potentially some overseas travel and a good dose of luck. Which is how I wound up in Baja, Mexico last year, with a bag of poop on my deck, blisters on my hands and some of the best wildlife I’ve ever encountered. Oh, and with Pete. It was some of his poop I was carrying.
