Race Review Stone division 3 and 4 - March 1st and 2nd 2025

The Stone Division 3 and 4 Slalom race, held on March 1st and 2nd, was a fantastic kickoff to the season.

Hosted by the Stafford and Stone Canoe Club, the event took place under sunny skies, setting the perfect backdrop for some thrilling paddling action.


Notable Performances by the Llandysul Team:

  • Anna Dovey: Showcased her versatility by competing in K1, C1, and C2 categories, securing 2nd place in K1 and 1st place in C1.
  • Tomi Pugh: Delivered a strong performance, finishing 4th in K1 while also competing in C2.
  • Jakub Dovey and Megan Pugh: Both participated in the C2 class and K1 as J8 and J10 paddlers, respectively, demonstrating their growing skills.
  • Jack Leverett: Experienced his first race and showed significant improvement throughout the weekend, competing in both K1 and C2 classes.

The Llandysul team has a busy schedule ahead with several exciting races lined up:

  • Cardiff: March 13th
  • Symonds Yat: March 15th-16th
  • Matlock: March 29th-30th
  • Aughtibridge: April 26th-27th
  • Llandysul: May 10th-11th
  • Langham Farm: May 17th-18th
