The Final Training Camp: February 22nd-23rd 2025

The weekend of February 22nd and 23rd marked the last training camp before the start of the 2025 race season. Fourteen dedicated paddlers from Paddle Cymru gathered at Lee Valley, honing their skills on both the legacy and Olympic courses. The training sessions covered all categories: C1, K1, and Kayak Cross, ensuring comprehensive preparation for the upcoming challenges.

First Division One Race: March 1st-2nd

The following weekend, March 1st and 2nd, saw all Welsh paddlers return to Lee Valley to compete in the Division One race. For many paddlers newly promoted to Division One during the 2024 race season, this event was a true baptism of fire. The Lee Valley course, originally designed to test the world's best during the 2012 Olympics, presented a formidable challenge. However, the Welsh paddlers rose to the occasion, showcasing determination and commitment that was truly commendable.

Upcoming Challenge: Llandysull Division One

This weekend, the same group of paddlers will embark on their third consecutive weekend away from home, competing at the Llandysull Division One. With the experience and confidence gained from their recent training and competition, they are well-prepared to face whatever challenges come their way.
