BECOME A TRAINING PROVIDER
If you're interested in becoming a training provider, then the first step is to read the qualification course documents for the personal performance, coaching or leadership or rescue award that you'd like to provide on the British Canoeing Awarding Body Website (BCAB) website.
Please familiarise yourself with the Award Guidance Notes, Course Syllabus and Tutor and Assessor Notes. Each provider role has minimum requirements that are shown in the person specification documents under each award with open applications shown below.
If you hold the minimum requirements, please apply through the application form link.
Note: if we have advertised proposed orientation dates below, please make sure you are available on these dates.
Once applications close they will be filtered and selections will be made by an anonymous panel as per our
Recruitment, Selection & Training Policy.
Please note that you must apply through your National Association to become an Award Provider. Members from other National Associations are welcome to join one of our orientations if permitted after successful applications.

Course Documentation

Orientation Viability - Provider Request Survey Results -
We have set proposed orientation dates for all roles that had enough interest from our provider request surveys to make a viable orientation run. There are some other roles that we are opening up applications for as we have gaps in our workforce numbers. If the tutor role you are hoping to achieve does not already have set orientation dates we will set these dates if we have enough successful applicants to run viably.
A minimum of 4 aspirant tutors need to be booked onto an orientation to be viable to run. If this is not achieved alternative options for orientation can be attending an orientation with a different National association or to arrange orientation during a live course with a National association trainer.
Orientation Booking Deadline
You will be required to book onto the orientation within 8 weeks of being informed of your successful application. Instructions will be distributed with links to booking pages through Just Go.
Orientation costs
Each 2 day Orientation costs £450, please find out more information in our Delivery Centre Fees 2025 document.
